About

The artwork created in my personal practice ranges between mediums of acrylic painting, illustration, and graphic design. My artistic insights are interdisciplinary in nature as I create artwork through various media, subject matter, and surfaces. Although my work is mixed media, it is clear to see the influential lineage from one work to another. I began as an illustrator from an early age and gradually expanded my artistic knowledge as I grew older through my general practice, school, and exposure to outside influences.

The medium that I currently work the most in, is digital illustration and graphic design. This medium has allowed my drawing and illustration skills to go paperless while being able to do things I never could on paper. My usage of digital art transfers to all of my other practices like painting and printmaking where I am able to build and expand on my skills. Graphic design and its subsidies have become the primary focus of my artistic practice as I intend to take this career trajectory and grow my practice further from there. The vast versatility of graphic design directly aligns with my versatility as a mixed media artist, and the ability to build upon a dedicated foundation of skills acts as a platform for growth.

The primary influences that drive my creative process forward are my interests in various subcultures combined with life experiences. The subject matter of my work usually tends to be cynical and edgy motifs with a mix of playful social commentary. However, this is beginning to change as I experiment with new mediums and my artwork becomes more vibrant over time as my process evolves.

Pursuing a bachelors of fine arts degree in graphic design at California State University Long Beach is the next step in my creative career journey. I am always eager to grow as I continue to explore new methods, mediums, and applications for my creative practice.
